So I left Mackinac Wednesday night around 9/10pm and just started driving south. The plan was to hit Chicago by the next morning. I drove for a couple hours than napped for an hour....drove for a few more hours and then napped for an hour. I stopped in Holland, MI to take a quick picture or two as the sun rose, but I mostly kept driving.
Thursday morning I pulled into Chicago around 10:30am. I love Chicago so much that it has the distinct honor of being the only city that I visited twice during the summer of DeFeo.
The plan was to meet up with all the people I missed the last time I was in town. I got some coffee at ROM in the lobby of the GS building and I went to Luke's Italian Beef for lunch with some friends from work.
Afterwords I set up an appointment for a hot towel shave along the Magnificent Mile (I was looking very very grizzly...I'm fairly sure some kid mistook me for Smokey the bear at the last Campsite I was at).
I also went to the Observation deck of The Willis Tower (aka Sears tower) to finish of the Ferris Bueller experience that I started the last time I was in town.
